ABOUT

Stephanie Beattie is a multimedia artist, writer, editor, and audiographer. Frequently working with collaborators around the world, she creates ongoing multi-disciplinary projects incorporating archival materials and acoustic environments. Her work examines how technology shapes our future and explores new possibilities for this relationship. Additionally, Beattie is both a designer and technician for innovative audio and video projects. She has documented and contributed to live performances on and off-Broadway, and her work has been shown at The Queens Museum in NYC, MassDevelopment, and Zurich’s Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology. Beattie performs regularly in NYC, including excerpts of her ongoing long poem Prometheus Wept. She is co-founder of Calx Vida Studio and editor of The Seers’ Catalogue.
